It's easy to be inspired by talented friends. We first met Belle in a line for an open mic in London in 2023. She offered to do Eli's Tarot reading. He declined and said, "I'm not really into that kinda thing." She wasn't offended, not even a little bit. There was no backtracking, no awkward excuse or exit. She didn't budge and just said, "That's ok," and they moved on.
Even though they disagreed, she wasn't threatened, nor did she compromise her integrity to make him feel ok. She's that kind of open, the kind that's so open with herself she allows others and their energy in.

The performance we saw that day was a rush of catchy pop songs about breakups. You might not expect that to feel exciting, but she proved us wrong. We were already drawn in, then found out she has only been writing for two years. That alone was impressive. It makes you think if this is what she has made so far, what will the next two years bring.
Like many of us, Belle spends her days making lattes for people. The same people who have no idea that the person handing them their decaf double ristretto flat white with almond milk is an incredible artist. If even half of them heard her, they would get it. She has an interesting point of view and strong songs. That should be enough, but the curse of the artist holds on. Born to create, focused to caffeinate.
Her music is infectious, raw in story yet delicately captured. We are excited about Belle's new projects. Take PEEL for example. The lyrics feel like a late night confession about falling for the idea of someone while they take advantage of you. The whole thing sits in an indie groove. It is the sound of an ick slowly taking shape. It is written so well that you can almost hear huge artists covering it as it sinks in a little deeper each time.
